Mission In a school setting such as The Woodlands (TWHS) with a population over 4,000, competition for extra-curricular activities is extremely competitive. Because of this, more and more athletes are specializing not only in sports but also in specific events. When missed practices occur for whatever reason, they fall behind. TWHS swim program has a tradition of excellence, and it is our job to continue this road to success. In order to achieve this success, students need to set their priorities so that every practice can be made to develop the best team possible. As a coach, we can only direct and suggest. The athletes and parents will ultimately dictate whether or not we will win another state championship. As long as other schools are making this commitment, then we have to exceed their efforts.
Athletic Class Swimmers/Divers will follow school policy: tardies, absences, and coaches’ disciplinary procedures.
Attendance If you are absent from swim practice, a parent or guardian must either call the school (Senior campus-936-273-8585, 24 hour answering machine in the coaches' office) or a note must be sent to the coach upon your return to school. Excessive absences could result in suspension or dismissal.
